The pups were well-behaved and chipper all day. I guess they knew that it was Friday, too. Lol This really got me thinking. Generally, dogs will try to match your energy and will treat you accordingly. So when we feel good and calm, they feel safe and content. When we feel nervous or stressed, they feel that as well and you will see them try to comfort you or protect you because they think you're injured. You can't fake it with your dog, trust me, they know. Dogs don't have a concept of time, nor do they know what you went through during the day. They're just genuinely happy to see you and want to spend time with you. So remember to take deep breaths through the day and reset your energy before walking in the door from a long day of work and especially right before you pick up that leash to go for a walk. When you're on that walk, just enjoy it. Be in the moment with your dog, because they're living in the present moment with you.
